Adrianna Cruz-Ocampo was born in Cali, Colombia and immigrated, with her family, to the United States in 1973. They settled in Los Angeles, California, where Adrianna attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and Our Lady of Corvallis High School in Studio City. As a student, she was actively involved with the swim team, the Yearbook staff, the Keywanettes Club and theater production. Adrianna’s passion for her community was supported, in those years, through her involvement in a collective effort to visit and care for elderly people living in convalescent homes throughout the San Fernando Valley. She acquired the entrepreneurial bug while still in high school when she began to work for a small frame shop called “Super Art Mart”. While at the frame shop, her photography background allowed her to apply her creative side to the framing business. Not only did Adrianna become an asset to the frame shop, she fell in love with the art of framing.
After high school, Adrianna attended Los Angeles Pierce College where she received an Associate Arts degree in business administration. Shortly after graduation, she was given the opportunity to buy the small frame shop, where she had continued to work since high school. In 1988, with her own savings and a business loan, she was able to purchase the shop renaming it “U-Frame-It.” Since then she has grown the business into one of the most successful and customer friendly frame shops in the San Fernando Valley. Throughout the years, her hard work and dedication has paved the way for her growing relationships with the television and film industries. Again, Adrianna found a niche where she could apply her good business sense and her creative background.
She is currently an active member of the Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA), where she serves on the Board of Directors as a Business Member. In addition, she serves as president of the Studio City Chamber of Commerce, is a board member of the United Chambers of Commerce, San Fernando and Region, and a member of the Encino, Greater San Fernando Valley, and the West Valley-Warner Center Chambers of Commerce. She is also a member of the National Association of Professional and Executive Women and Valley Industry Commerce Association (VICA).
Today, Adrianna and her husband, Francisco, are the proud parents of two grown boys, Andres and Sebastian, and live in Sherwood Forest, California. An avid world traveler, Adrianna enjoys spending time exploring with her family and continuing to pursue that entrepreneurial bug that bit her so many years ago.
